Sony launches six new projectors:

Seriously, what is it with all the projectors? Now Sony's got six new ones as well, a line of 3LCD displays that range.The models include the VPL-CX63 and CX61XGA displays (top), 3,000 and 2,500 lumen models with 190w bulbs and piddly VGA inputs; the XGA VPL-CX21 and SVGA VPL-CS21, which improve on the old VPL-CX20 / CS20 models with a better imaging engine (middle); and 2,100 lumen brightness; and the VPL-EX3 and ES3, lower end movie and gamer centric boxes with an XGA and SVGA resolution and 2,000 lumen picture (bottom). In other words, nothing too world shattering here, we're sure you'll find a way to continue on with your day knowing they're probably going to be stuck in Japan forever.

7 Ways to Use Sony’s Movie Projectors and 200 Inch Screen:

Sony wants its projectors, capable of resolution that is four times that of full HDTV, to be used other places besides at digital movie theaters.

The company plans to bundle the projectors with 130-200 inch screens and tap into other markets to boost sale.

Sony new SXRD BRAVIA VPL-HW10 and VPL-VW70 projectors:

If I can only list one exceptional feature on Sony SXRD Bravia projector; that would be the revolutionary adjustable panel alignment introduced last year with VPL-VW60 and VPL-VW200. Panel Convergence is a major concern for LCoS, SXRD and LCD based panel projector, Sony knows it and they are the only manufacturer that has an answer. Two new Bravia, full scale 1080p home theater projectors, are being presented at Cedia-VPL-HW10 and VPL-VW70 with better features and much affordable price.

The high-end VPL-VW70 boosts a 60,000:1 contrast ratio and 800 ANSI lumens while VPL-HW10 offers half the contrast ratio and 1,000 ANSI lumens. The latter is an entry level class model, which is more likely to replace VW40 with added features like convergence control (same features like the VW60), Mosquito NR, improved vertical and horizontal lens shift. The VPL-VW70 seats between current high-end model VW200 and VW60, offers better convergence setting with Zone and 144 point convergence. Features and price is set toe to toe to with newly announced JVC HD350. An external anamorphic lens is optional and integrated with remote trigger.

Both models are true 24p and powered by BRAVIA Engine 2 to provide sharp, vibrant, lifelike images.

Sony VPL-EX70 and VPL-EX7 Projectors with Short Focus Lenses:

After Sanyo Sony has introduced its short focus video projector, they launched its latest data projectors VPL-EX70 and VPL-EX7. Sony’s both projector needs to be at 1.8m distance to project a 60-inch size worth display screen and it provides 1024 x 768 screen resolution.

The VPL-EX70 and VPL-EX7 both have short lens but only VPL-EX70 is labeled as BrighEra, it has 900:1 contrast ratio and provides 2600 lumens brightness on other hand VPL-EX7 has 500:1 contrast ratio and provides 2000 lumens brightness.
